Northern General A of division 2 continued their march back into the top division with a 9-1 victory over their C team.  Vulcan D kept us the pressure at the top with an identical 9-1 win away to Abbeydale C.  Shiregreen A beat Swallownest A 7-3 with Matt Taylor unbeaten for Shiregreen.  Vulcan E travelled to Abbeydale D and returned victorious as both Eddie Fogg and Helmuth Osborne knotched hat tricks in their 8-2 win.

Division 3 saw the Crookes derby between the E and F team with the points going with the ranking as the E team ran out 8-2 winners. Abbeydale G continued their impressive start with a 10-0 win away at Vulcan G. Winston Campbell was unbeaten and supported by the evergreen Brian Isam who weighed in with a brace as Abbeydale E beat Hallam B 7-3. Albert Premier B had a Rachel Pilgrim treble to thank as they won 6-4 at Abbeydale F.

Albert Premier C stayed top of Division 4 with a 7-3 success at home against Clifton B. Matt Blake and Ben Crapper both unbeaten and combining to take the doubles. In the bottom of the table clash High green A were beaten at home by Dronfield 6-4 with Jim Ferguson taking a hard fought hat trick for Dronfield. The Cricketers beat Wisewood A 9-1 and Shiregreen B kept up the pressure at the top as they ran out 7-3 winners at home to Abbeydale J.

Hallam Grange C kept up their 100% record in division 5 with a hard fought 7-3 win away to Vulcan K. Seven of the ten sets went to the deciding 5th game with Jon Whitchurch taking 2 hugely important wins in the deciding game. Ron firth was instrumental as his hat trick led Telecom A to a 6-4 victory away to HSBC. Vulcan J picked up their first points of the season with a closely contested 6-4 win at home against High Green B. Keith Archdale taking a maximum.

A Stephen Parkinson treble provided the platform for Tapton Hill A to take both points home from their trip to Sheffield Active solutions running out 7-3 winners. Tapton Hill B couldn’t replicate the A teams exploits as they were soundly beaten 9-1 by Shiregreen E. The trio of Peter Muscroft, Jim Kenny and Bryan Cartwright handed out a 10-0 thrashing to Hallam Grange E. The 10-0 scoreline was perhaps as little harsh on the homeside with 4 of the sets going the 5 game distance.
